Arriving and transport

The Romans recognised this as an ideal location and established their town of "OVILAVA" here. And this is just as much of an excellent geographic location today as it was then. Today Wels lies at the heart of Austria. As a result, Wels has become the most popular shopping location in Upper Austria. This ideal location is also beneficial to guests and entrepreneurs. Wels is easily accessible by car, train and aeroplane and provides the ideal base for exploring the art, culture, nature, sport and leisure activities of the area - 'at the centre of living'.
