The municipal authorities of the city of Wels have set up a central One-Stop-Shop system for entrepreneurs and their application process.

The application authorities will undertake the authorisation process in accordance with construction laws, trade laws, water entitlement laws, waste management laws and regional development procedures as part of a concentrated and coordinated process. The service points for the laws governing construction, operational facilities, water and trade are assigned to the 'trade and industry law' department of the municipal authorities. This organisational structure and a close cooperation between technical experts enables the fast and hassle-free completion of all authorisation processes.

In order to become a 'contact point for companies', the trade service point was also integrated into MA 11. Here all personal trading details, business registrations, additional processes, site relocations etc are carried out.

The following services are also offered:
Before the project is officially submitted, a project discussion is held at the city planning offices with all officials and responsible authority representatives involved in the process being invited. During the course of these meetings, the entrepreneur(s) and project managers will be given all of the technical and legal information they require in order to present a project which is likely to gain approval upon submission and in particular is likely to gain a fast approval:
- Area zoning plan
- Building plan
- Traffic disaggregation
- Technical infrastructure
- Design
- Civil engineering regulations and requirements
- Process and deadlines

Every 2nd Monday of the month, a site discussion day is held. Experts in trade and construction law as well as a lawyer from the 'construction and trade law' department will be on hand to answer any queries.
The construction, trade and water entitlements procedures will all be carried out in one day. In the case of large-scale construction plans, a process manager will be appointed by the authorities as a contact and coordinator.
